Applesauce
Today, we made applesauce in class and the directions were:
First, you cut the apples and peel them. Then, you put them in a crockpot. You add on top white sugar, brown sugar, water and cinnamon. Then, you stir it. Then, you turn the crock pot on and leave it in the corner of the classroom. It stayed there and cooked for the whole day. We stirred it right after lunch, then we let it cool. Finally, we ate it. We thought it was delicious! and we loved it! By: Dragon

Penguin Art
We read the book, "One cool friend." Then we drew a penguin. We outlined it in sharpie and colored it with crayons. We had to write words in the background. We wrote words that like cool, friendly, funny because they were words that described what kinds of friends we want. I wrote loving and smart. Then we got to use watercolors to paint the background. I love them. They look awesome on the cabinets. By: Horse.
Learning in Math
We have learned about odds and evens. We worked on an odds and even sort. We had to solve math problems and sort them.
We also learned about tens and ones. We talked about value and what that means. Its hard but we're starting to get it. Mrs. Patel and Miss Crowley let us use whiteboards to practice.
We also did a little bit about the hundreds, tens and ones. We also played math minute on the computers and ST Math on the iPads. We like doing Rotations in Math time. By Basking Shark, and T-rex
School Theme
This year's theme, "Trust in the Lord with all your Heart," This means believing God and doing what we can to follow him. We can be kind and helpful to others. We can be nice and listen in church. We made beautiful hearts to help us remember. We colored with markers and sprayed them with water. Then Miss Crowley cut them into hearts and we glued them together and wrote the theme on them. We also got to make videos using the iPads where we talked about the theme and what we learned. We are excited that it is our theme this year. By: Indominus Rex and Deer
Can you Guess the Second grader!?
This is our "Can you Guess the Second grader" wall. We learned how to draw people using lines and erasing the lines later. Then we colored them very nicely and used a sharpie to outline them. We drew ourselves. Now they look very good. We hung them on the wall. Next them is our "All About Me" writings. We wrote what our favorite color is and what our favorite movie is. We made them so we can learn more about each other and so our parents have to guess which one is us for Back to School Night. We had lots of fun making this wall! By: Capybara
